website for the Vandergrift Company has changed, the old site is gone with no
re-direction. Why?

In my opinion, Mike Thompson, as he presented himself to me, is/was primarily
serving as a shill for Destiny 98:

Of his "office listings" there were only three seemingly legitimate (in the ordinary
sense) listings,
5368 Pinnacle, 2221 Walter and  2215 Runnymede.

The
"featured property" which is said to have been sold, is most likely from it's
price, condition and the eagerness to sell, a tax foreclosure property although
with no address
was given. The owner of record could not easily be determined.

Another property listed was
0 Hilton in Ferndale, MI, which was shown on the tax
records belonging to Advantage 99, another Doug Gale/Destiny-98/REO
America/TATCC shell company.
Subsequently, 0 Hilton was listed as belonging to
the City of Ferndale.
It's current status is unknown.

This is a documented case of a property purchased at a tax sale, then abandoned
back to the municipality when the lien purchaser could not profitably negotiate it

and
simply wanted to dispose of it. Here are some more examples. This
abandonment has been found to be a chronic problem for municipalities that
employ tax lien sales. See

It is interesting that he never listed 1960 S Maple on this website. However, 1960
was listed by a broker anonymously on
Zillow until it was ultimately sold to Don
Reiff.

However, there is a completely different site for Michael Thompson as "Michael
Thompson of the
Vandergrift Company" (Mike Thompson appears to longer be
with the
Vandergrift Company) that seems to be the same person with the same
contact e-mail with both 'Mike Thompson's listing
5368 Pinnacle, in Ann Arbor for
the same price, $374,900 (the logo appearing on this webpage is the same as that
which appeared on the now vanished website).

None of the tax foreclosure properties - 1960 S Maple, 0 Hilton or the "Featured
Property" - ever seem to have been listed on the "Vandergrift" site.

Here is Mike Thompson's
Zillow site as of 12-07-08 (this site no longer exists).
Same contact number and e-mail address, and a listing for
2215 Runnymede...

What's going on here? Clearly Mike Thompson is willing to go to some
trouble to cover up his association with Destiny-98
.
